Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Fast-moving storms will continue to ride eastward along a slowly oscillating frontal boundary draped across the country.  Notably, a stripe of accumulating snow will develop Friday across the northern Plains, reaching the Northeast during the weekend.  Subsequently, snow will fall early next week a bit farther south, spreading eastward from the central Plains, while rain will overspread the South.  Five-day precipitation totals should reach 1 to 2 inches from the mid-South to the mid-Atlantic, with lighter amounts expected elsewhere.  Generally light precipitation will affect the West, although completely dry weather will persist across much of Arizona, New Mexico, and portions of neighboring states.
