Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Blizzard conditions from Iowa to near Lake Superior will subside later Wednesday, as a powerful low-pressure system lifts from near Lake Michigan into eastern Canada.  The storm’s trailing cold front will continue to generate locally severe thunderstorms until exiting the Atlantic Seaboard Wednesday afternoon.  In the storm’s wake, a pair of fast-moving disturbances will traverse the country.  The initial system, currently arriving in California, will reach the middle Atlantic Coast early Saturday.  On Thursday into Friday, snow in blizzard-affected areas, such as Nebraska and Iowa, may temporarily slow recovery efforts.  The trailing system will traverse the nation’s southern tier, with weekend rain expected in the Gulf Coast States.  Wet snow may briefly affect the southern High Plains.
