Brownfield Ag Weather Today
Fast-moving disturbances will maintain unsettled weather across the northern U.S. and from the Mississippi Valley eastward, with only Florida’s peninsula and the nation’s southwestern quadrant—from central and southern California to the central and southern High Plains—remaining mostly dry during the next 5 days. Some of the heaviest precipitation will fall in the Pacific Northwest and the northern Rockies, while totals exceeding an inch can be expected from the Mississippi Delta into the Tennessee Valley. An elevated wildfire threat will continue at times in the south-central U.S., while locally severe thunderstorms may affect the mid-South and Southeast, especially during the weekend. Elsewhere, a significant warming trend across much of the western and southern U.S. will lead to temperatures near 100°F by early next week in the Desert Southwest, while chilly conditions will remain entrenched in the Great Lakes and Northeastern States.
