Brownfield Ag Weather Today

A low-pressure system over the Tennessee Valley will drift northeastward, reaching New England late Wednesday.  Additional rainfall could total 1 to 2 inches or more, mainly in the Northeast.  Meanwhile, a disturbance emerging from the Southwest should advance eastward and reach peak intensity by the middle of the week, with storm-total rainfall reaching 2 to 4 inches or more from the southern half of the High Plains to the southern Atlantic Coast.  Much higher totals, 4 to 8 inches, may occur from May 6-8 in the central Gulf Coast region.  In contrast, mostly dry weather will prevail during the next 5 days in the upper Midwest and Far West.  Late in the week, building Western heat could lead to temperatures topping 95°F in California’s San Joaquin Valley and exceeding 105°F in parts of the Desert Southwest.
