Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Back-to-back storm systems traversing the northern U.S. will maintain unsettled weather across much of the country during the next few days.  Five-day rainfall totals should reach 1 to 4 inches from northern sections of the Rockies and Plains into the mid-South and lower Midwest.  Higher totals may occur in the middle Mississippi Valley and environs, while severe thunderstorms could affect many locations.  Between storms, a weekend cold spell could lead to widespread frost in the northcentral U.S.  In contrast, hot weather will prevail into next week across the South.  General dryness will accompany the early-season heat, especially along and near the Gulf Coast.  Mostly dry weather will also prevail during the next 5 days from California to the southern High Plains.
