Brownfield Ag Weather Today
A low-pressure system centered over the western Corn Belt will slide eastward, reaching the middle Atlantic Coast late Wednesday before drifting northeastward into northern New England during the weekend. The system’s slow motion will result in significant rainfall, totaling 1 to 3 inches or more from the upper Midwest to the northern half of the Atlantic Coast. The system will also separate warm air to the south from chilly conditions across the North. Scattered Northern frost may occur in the storm’s wake, particularly in the upper Great Lakes region. A second storm system will closely follow, taking a path a little farther to the south. By the end of the week, the new low-pressure system should be located over the central or southern Plains, with a band of precipitation developing from the northern Plains into the mid-South. In contrast, dry weather will prevail during the next 5 days from California to the southern High Plains.
