Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Expansive storminess across the central and eastern U.S. will shift southward, with cooler, drier air gradually replacing previously showery conditions.  By Friday, residual showers and thunderstorms should be mostly limited to the Southeast, with dry weather encompassing much of the country during the upcoming weekend.  Still, 5-day rainfall totals should reach 1 to 3 inches from the southern half of the Plains to the middle and southern Atlantic States, with higher amounts expected in parts of the Southeast.  In contrast, little or no precipitation will fall during the next 5 days west of the Rockies, aside from mid-week showers in the Pacific Northwest.  The Western dryness will be accompanied by a heat wave, with late-week temperatures expected to top 100°F throughout California’s Central Valley and the Desert Southwest.
