Brownfield Ag Weather Today
A complex area of unsettled weather affecting parts of the central and eastern U.S. will shift southward and eastward over the next few days. Five-day rainfall totals should reach 1 to 4 inches or more from the southern Plains to the southern Appalachians, with a secondary area of rain (1 to 3 inches) extending northeastward across the Appalachians into New England. Portions of the Great Lakes States may also receive significant rain totaling an inch or more, mainly late in the weekend and early next week. In contrast, little or no rain will fall during the next 5 days west of the Rockies and across the northern High Plains. Early-season heat will accompany the Western dryness, with temperatures expected to peak on Sunday or early next week. By Monday, temperatures may top 100°F as far north as eastern Washington.
