Brownfield Ag Weather Today

For the next several days, near- or above-normal temperatures will prevail nationwide, aside from lingering cold weather from the Great Lakes States into the Northeast.  During the first half of the week, a pair of disturbances traversing the northern U.S. or southern Canada will produce light precipitation.  Meanwhile, the first meaningful precipitation in a month will fall in California on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Storm-total precipitation in the Sierra Nevada could reach 1 to 3 inches.  Other areas of the western U.S. will receive mostly light precipitation, totaling mostly an inch or less.  Across much of the central and eastern U.S., little, if any, precipitation will fall until late in the week, when California’s storm system will become re-energized across the South.  By Friday, scattered showers should spread from the southern Rockies into the Southeast.
