Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Cold air will continue to retreat to the Canadian border or beyond, while a series of disturbances emerging from the western U.S. will generate unsettled weather in parts of the central and eastern U.S. During the next 5 days, an axis of heavy rain (2 to 6 inches or more) should stretch from central Texas into the lower Midwest, including the middle Mississippi Valley. Antecedent dryness should limit widespread flooding, although flash flooding may occur. Additionally, severe weather may occur at times from the central and southern Plains into the mid-South and parts of the Midwest. In contrast, dry weather should prevail during the next 5 days from southern California to New Mexico and along much of the southern Atlantic Coast.
