Brownfield Ag Weather Today

The storm system currently affecting the nation’s mid-section will shift eastward, with snow spreading from the upper Great Lakes region into northern New England.  Along the storm’s trailing cold front, locally severe thunderstorms will march eastward and reach the southern Atlantic Coast by Thursday.  Additional rainfall across the South, East, and lower Midwest could total 1 to 2 inches.  Meanwhile, stormy Northwestern weather, featuring mountain snow and high winds, will prevail through Friday, with impacts in the northern Rockies lingering into Saturday.  Blizzard conditions will occur in the Washington Cascades.  High winds will affect not only the Northwest, but will also develop Wednesday or Thursday across portions of the Plains and upper Midwest.  Late-week snow, wind, and cold, mainly from Montana into the upper Great Lakes States, could lead to travel disruptions and livestock stress.
