Brownfield Ag Weather Today

A pair of fast-moving cold fronts will traverse the U.S. during the next 5 days. Both fronts will spark widespread showers and thunderstorms, with the heaviest rain (1 to 3 inches) expected from the Midwest into the Northeast. Heavy rain falling on saturated soils could lead to additional flooding in portions of the Great Lakes region, particularly across Lower Michigan. In the West, active weather through Thursday across the northern half of the region will contrast with mostly dry weather from southern California to the southern Rockies. Mostly dry weather will also prevail on the southern High Plains. During the weekend, a surge of cool air could lead to freezes at least as far south as the northern panhandle of Texas. Some readings below 20°F may occur into western Nebraska.
