Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Frost and freezes will broadly occur again on Thursday morning across the Plains and Midwest, possibly extending as far south as the northern panhandle of Texas. Subsequently, much of the country will experience a gradual warming trend, although chilly conditions will linger from the northern Plains into the Northeast. Meanwhile, a couple of rounds of precipitation will occur during the next 5 days across the South, East, and lower Midwest. Some of the heaviest rain, locally 2 to 4 inches or more, should fall from the Mississippi Delta to the southern Appalachians, leading to drought relief but possible flash flooding. At least an inch of rain should fall in most areas along and south of a line from the Ozark Plateau to northern New England. Farther west, wet snow in the central Rockies and environs will end. Elsewhere, mostly dry weather will prevail through the weekend west of the Rockies and in the north-central U.S.
