Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Later Wednesday, showers and thunderstorms will return across the Corn Belt, lasting through Thursday. Yet another round of wet weather will develop across the nation’s mid-section during the weekend, with some of the heaviest rain expected across the east-central and southeastern Plains, as well as the mid-South. Five-day rainfall totals should reach 2 to 6 inches from northern sections of Texas and Louisiana into the central Corn Belt. Lighter amounts, mostly 1 to 2 inches, will affect much of the eastern U.S., while widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will affect the High Plains and areas along and near the Gulf Coast. Mostly dry weather will prevail west of the Rockies, accompanied by an ongoing hot spell (in the Southwest) or building heat (in the Northwest).
