Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Challenging fire-weather conditions in the Northwest will continue into the weekend, while dry thunderstorms in portions of the Great Basin and Intermountain West could spark new fires. The Four Corners States should experience monsoon-related shower activity, although rainfall amounts will be highly variable. Meanwhile, hot weather will dominate areas from the Pacific Coast to the Plains during the next 5 days, with heat also spreading eastward across the Deep South. Only spotty rain will accompany the heat, except for some heavier showers in the southern Atlantic States. In contrast, near- or below-normal temperatures should prevail in the Midwest, accompanied by occasional showers that could total 1 to 3 inches or more.
