Brownfield Ag Weather Today
A cold front currently crossing the Northwest will move eastward, reaching the Mississippi Valley by Tuesday. Subsequently, a slowing of the eastward progression of the front will result in substantial rainfall (1 to 2 inches or more) from the Mississippi Valley to the East Coast, excluding Florida. Cool weather will accompany the rain. Farther west, however, building warmth across the nation’s mid-section, including parts of the western Corn Belt, should favor fieldwork. Warm weather will also continue in most areas from the Rockies westward, although cooler air will arrive late in the week across the Northwest. Dry weather will prevail during the next 5 days across the nation’s southwestern quadrant, from California to the southern half of the High Plains.
