Brownfield Ag Weather Today

A pair of storm systems—one near the Gulf Coast and the other moving inland across the West—will progress eastward.  The lead system will clear the southern Atlantic Coast by Thursday.  Meanwhile, the Western storm system will reach the central and southern Plains by Friday, with some modest intensification expected.  Late-week snow should develop across the southern Rockies and may also fall from the central Plains into the Ohio Valley.  During the weekend, significant snow may occur from the central Appalachians into southern New England, while heavy showers and locally severe thunderstorms should sweep across the South.  Concurrently, weekend rain and snow showers will return across much of the western U.S.  In contrast, dry weather will prevail during the next 5 days across large sections of the northern Plains and upper Midwest.
