Brownfield Ag Weather Today

A dangerous winter storm will unfold during the first half of the week across the central and eastern U.S., resulting in a variety of weather hazards.  Blizzard conditions will develop Tuesday across portions of the northern Plains, with wind-driven snow later spreading into parts of the Midwest and Northeast.  Meanwhile, a severe weather threat will peak on Tuesday in the southern Atlantic States.  Farther west, another strong storm system will punch inland, starting in the Pacific Northwest.  During the second half of the week, the trailing storm will follow a similar path across the central and southern Plains and the Midwest, with many of the same hazards—snow, rain, wind, and strong thunderstorms—returning to the same regions for the second time in a matter of days.  Five-day rainfall totals should reach 2 to 6 inches in much of the eastern U.S., leading to possible river flooding from the southern Appalachians to southern New England.
