Brownfield Ag Weather Today

During the next several days, a slow warming trend will take place across much of the country.  Wednesday should be the last day with sub-freezing temperatures from southern Texas to southern Louisiana.  However, sub-zero temperatures will linger through the end of the week across the northern half of the Plains and the upper Midwest.  Meanwhile, an active pattern will continue, despite the lingering cold weather.  Storminess will generally subside later today in the eastern U.S., but a new Pacific storm system will arrive in the Northwest.  During the second half of the week, precipitation will quickly spread from the Northwest to the Midwest, with rain and snow returning across parts of the East.  Over the next 5 days, the heaviest precipitation will fall across northern California and the Pacific Northwest, extending eastward across the northern Rockies.  In contrast, dry weather will cover the southern Plains and the Southwest.
