Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Later Tuesday, a cold front will spark briefly heavy showers and locally severe thunderstorms from the upper Midwest southward across the southeastern Plains and the Mississippi Delta.  Subsequently, the front will sweep into the eastern U.S. on Wednesday and Thursday while weakening.  Event-total rainfall should reach 1 to 3 inches in scattered locations across the eastern half of the country.  In the front’s wake, cool, breezy weather and scattered showers will linger for several days in the Great Lakes and Northeastern States.  In contrast, summer-like heat will continue across the Deep South and further expand and intensify in the West.  The Western hot spell should peak during the mid- to late-week period, with maximum temperatures frequently topping 110°F in the Desert Southwest.  During the next 5 days, Western precipitation will be scarce, with meaningful amounts limited to today’s event in the Pacific Northwest.
