Brownfield Ag Weather Today
Over the next 5 days, a procession of cold fronts will maintain active weather across the central and eastern U.S., with frequent showers and thunderstorms. Some of the heaviest rain, locally 1 to 3 inches or more, will fall in nearly parallel strips—from the central Plains to the middle Atlantic Coast and from the upper Midwest into the upper Great Lakes region. Most other areas will experience less-organized showers, although the approach of Hurricane Beryl could result in heavy rain arriving late in the weekend or early next week across southern Texas. The frontal passages will also help to suppress temperatures across the northern and central Plains and much of the Midwest. In contrast, blazing Western heat will result in readings above 100°F as far north as eastern Washington and near 120°F at lower elevations of the Desert Southwest. Hot weather will also prevail in the Atlantic Coast States and the Deep South.
