Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Cool air (for July) will continue to make a strong push across the eastern half of the country, with weekend high temperatures expected to remain below 80°F as far south as the western Corn Belt.  Meanwhile, daily thunderstorms across the South will lead to 5-day rainfall totals of 2 to 6 inches or more from central and eastern Texas to the middle and southern Atlantic Coast.  Some of the heaviest rain may fall in the coastal Carolinas.  In contrast, mostly dry weather will prevail during the next 5 days in the Far West and the northern High Plains, as well as the upper Mississippi Valley and the Great Lakes region.  A new round of heat intensification will accompany the Western dryness.
