Brownfield Ag Weather Today

A hot weather pattern will cover much of the country for the remainder of the week, with 100-degree temperatures affecting portions of the Plains and many low-elevation locations in the West.  Heat and high humidity levels will persist across much of the South, with temperatures approaching 100°F.  In the Midwest, however, temperatures will remain mostly below stressful levels for reproductive to filling corn and soybeans, except in portions of the southwestern Corn Belt.  Meanwhile, significant rainfall will be focused across the Midwest and East, with 1- to 3-inch totals possible.  Late in the week, drier air will overspread the Midwest.  Elsewhere, only widely scattered showers will affect the Plains and West, as well as an area stretching from the western Gulf Coast region to the Mississippi Delta.
