Brownfield Ag Weather Today
Tropical Storm Debby is soon expected to meander northward, making a final landfall Thursday in South Carolina. Thereafter, a gradual northward acceleration will occur, with the remnant circulation likely moving through the middle Atlantic States on Friday and into southeastern Canada late Saturday. Additional rainfall could still total 10 to 20 inches in the eastern Carolinas. As the tropical moisture interacts with a frontal boundary, rainfall could reach 4 to 8 inches across the eastern slopes of the Appalachians as far north as western New England. In contrast, dry weather will prevail during the next 5 days in the Mississippi Valley, while hot, dry conditions will dominate the south-central U.S. and the Far West. Elsewhere, scattered to widespread showers will affect the Rockies, Southwest, and northern and central Plains.
