Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Cool air settling across the Midwest will linger through the weekend, following by a rapid warming trend.  While the cool air is in place, weekend frost may occur in the upper Great Lakes region, including northern sections of Minnesota and Wisconsin.  The remainder of the country will experience near- or above-normal temperatures into next week, with the hottest weather—relative to normal—affecting the western half of the U.S.  Meanwhile, precipitation will be scarce during the next 5 days from the Pacific Coast into the middle and upper Mississippi Valley.  Farther south, however, rainy weather will prevail along and near the Gulf Coast and in the southern Atlantic States, with locally heavy showers returning across coastal Texas early next week.  Five-day rainfall totals could reach 5 inches or more along the immediate Gulf Coast and in parts of Florida.
