Brownfield Ag Weather Today
The National Hurricane Center forecasts Potential Tropical Cyclone Six to become a tropical storm later Monday, with the system expected to reach southern Louisiana—likely as a hurricane—around the middle of week. In advance of the storm’s approach, producers in the storm’s path will have a few days to complete all possible harvest activities and prepare for the potential of flooding rains and damaging winds. As the tropical system moves farther north or northeast during the second half of the week, the flash-flood threat will likely shift inland across the Mississippi Delta and neighboring regions. Much of the remainder of the country will experience warm, dry weather during the next 5 days, although a cold front arriving in the Northwest during the mid- to late-week period will result in cooler conditions and scattered to widespread showers, with 1- to 2-inch totals possible in the northern Rockies and environs.
