Largely dry weather, another warm-up ahead for the Plains, Corn Belt next week

Looking Ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of above-normal temperatures from the Pacific Coast to the northern and central Plains and upper Midwest, while cooler-than-normal conditions will prevail in most areas along and east of a line from central Texas to Lake Michigan. 

Meanwhile, near- or below-normal precipitation across most of the country should contrast with wetter-than-normal weather in northern New England, northern California, the Pacific Northwest, and areas along and near the Gulf Coast.
