More heat, humidity & scattered storms ahead for most of the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures and rainfall across most of the country.  Cooler-than-normal conditions will be confined to New York and New England.

Meanwhile, drier-than-normal weather should be limited to parts of the Southeast, northern Great Basin, and interior Northwest.
