More mild to warm, largely dry weather ahead next week for most of the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for above-normal temperatures nationwide, with the northern and western U.S. having the greatest likelihood of experiencing warmer-than-normal weather.

Meanwhile, near- or below-normal precipitation from the Pacific Coast to the Plains and much of the Midwest should contrast with wetter-than-normal conditions along and east of a line from Louisiana to Lake Erie.
