Cooler air on-the-move; no shortage of rainfall (severe weather) events for a large portion of the Nation

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for near- or above-normal temperatures nationwide, except for cooler-than-normal conditions in much of the Midwest and Northeast. Florida’s peninsula, the Great Basin, and the Southwest will have the greatest likelihood of experiencing hot weather.

Meanwhile, near- or above-normal rainfall across most of the country should contrast with drier-than-normal weather in parts of the Pacific Northwest.
