Severe to Extreme Drought covers central, southern Wisconsin
Recent rainfsll has resulted in Extreme Drought Conditions being scaled back in southern Wisconsin. Extreme Drought Conditions now span south of a line from Mineral Point to Stoughton to Franklin. This includes the cities of Monroe, Janesville, Kensoha, and Racine in the Extreme Drought conditions. The extreme drought will likely result in major crop or pasture losses. Water shortages and usage restrictions may be used.
Locations previously in Severe Drought Conditions and Moderate Drought Conditions have remained the same.
A severe drought is likely to result in some crop and pasture losses. It may result in water restrictions as well. A moderate drought is likely to result in some damage to crops, pastures, streams, reservoirs, or low wells, with some water shortages possbily developing.
