CME cash dairy prices mixed
Cash dairy prices were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange on Wednesday, in limited trade.
Dry whey up $0.0150 at $0.85. One sale was made at that price.
Blocks down $0.0050 at $1.34. Sixteen sales were made from $1.3325 to $1.34.
Barrels unchanged at $1.4525.
Butter down $0.02 at $1.29.
Nonfat dry milk up $0.0075 at $2.2550.
The Global Dairy Trade index in New Zealand on Tuesday reported some slight gains overall, increasing 1.2% from the previous event. Skim milk powder led sales higher (+4.3%), followed by whole milk powder (+1.2%). Lactose declined nearly seven percent, followed by mozzarella (-3.9%).
