Farm Progress Show to feature field demos, drone zone, and equipment unveilings

The Farm Progress Show is this week near Boone, Iowa. 

Farm Progress national events director Matt Jungmann says conditions are fit for field demonstrations.

“We broke into the field demo corn, that was coming out at 18.1 percent (moisture) and 56 pound test weight. Nobody has a calibrated yield monitor yet, so I don’t know exactly what it’s yielding. But it’s good, respectable corn for the field demonstrations, and the moisture is perfect.”

In addition to harvest and tillage demos, he tells Brownfield there will be ride and drive opportunities.

“Autonomous machines, and then the Drone Zone, a dedicated drone flight area.”

Jungmann says there will be several unveilings, including a new strip-till implement from Kuhn-Krause. The Farm Progress Show runs Tuesday through Thursday.
