Merck highlights new technology to monitor calf behavior

Merck Animal Health is highlighting new releases at the World Dairy Expo this week.

Associate director for dairy monitoring Chase Milem says SenseHub Dairy Youngstock Monitoring empowers producers to grow strong replacements.

“We’re monitoring the behavior of calves.”

He tells Brownfield they’ve expanded the system beyond bottle-fed calves.

“So no matter how they’re feeding their calves, we can now monitor the behavior of those calves and really understand how they’re ruminating and progressing as they go on.”
