A mild to warm pattern to continue for many; a drier pattern ahead for much of the Corn Belt

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for near- or above-normal temperatures nationwide, with the Gulf Coast region having the greatest likelihood of experiencing unusual warmth.

Meanwhile, below-normal rainfall in much of the Mississippi Valley and environs should contrast with wetter-than-normal weather in the East and from central and southern California to the High Plains.
