Special Report
ISA is focused on drainage water management
At the 2015 Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) Research Conference in Ames, we discussed what ISA is doing in the area of watershed planning with Todd Sutphin, operations manager for ISA Environmental Programs and Services.
Sutphin talked about the importance of drainage water management, which he describes as “a mechanism for controlling water, slowing it down, and letting Mother Nature do its job.”
Following our visit with Sutphin, we also talked with one of ISA’s partners in drainage water management, Charlie Schafer. Schafer is the president of Agri Drain Corporation, based at Adair, Iowa.
