Monsanto anticipates 2012 launch of RIB
At Husker Harvest Days, Monsanto officials were expressing confidence that their Genuity SmartStax corn is going to produce some excellent yields this fall. Monsanto’s corn traits product lead, Holly Butka, reviews the advantages of planting SmartStax. Those advantages include a reduction in the insect refuge requirement from 20 percent to 5 percent. Holly also discusses the anticipated 2012 launch of Monsanto’s 5 percent refuge-in-the-bag (RIB) product—Genuity SmartStax RIB Complete.
