Behind the Scenes
Wyffels Hybrids and Brownfield launch Corn Belt Award and Scholarship
Wyffels Hybrids and Brownfield are teaming up to celebrate the next generation of rural leaders through the Wyffels Corn Belt Award and Scholarship.
The program recognizes high school seniors in Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin who demonstrate outstanding character, leadership and teamwork on the field, in the classroom and in their communities.
Wyffels Hybrids and Brownfield are seeking nominations for student-athletes who inspire others.
The Corn Belt Award celebrates student leaders who lead by example and demonstrate the qualities that help strengthen their schools, families and communities.
Nominations are encouraged for seniors who stand out not only for their athletic accomplishments, but also for their hard work, character, service and academic achievement.
During the fall and winter sports seasons, 56 student-athletes will be featured on Brownfield and heard on Brownfield affiliate stations throughout the six participating states.
From those 56 honorees, 14 student-athletes will be selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship, along with a customized Wyffels Corn Belt Award, presented by Wyffels Hybrids and Brownfield.
Fall student-athletes will begin being featured on Brownfield affiliate stations in participating states next week.
