Naig announces record cover crop cost-share signup

At the 2026 Farm Progress Show, Iowa Ag Secretary Mike Naig met with reporters to announce a new record cover crop cost-share signup, nearly tripling cover crop acres in the Greater Des Moines Watershed. The Secretary was also asked about beef producer sentiment, MCOOL and voluntary meat product labeling, water quality, and cancer rates in Iowa. Listen below:
