Pivot Bio pledges $1,000 grants to help build the next generation of farmers

Pivot Bio is investing in the next generation of agriculture.

Director of product management Chad Kimmelshue says Pivot Pathways is a first-of-its-kind program that supports the children and grandchildren of customers.

“So any kid, any grandkid, any farmhand kid that is under the age of 18, we are giving them $1,000 as part of the Next Generation Grant Fund. We’re excited to do this for all of our customers to allow them to grow that next generation (and) get that stability financially.”

U.S. Ag Secretary Brooke Rollins helped Pivot Bio make the announcement Tuesday at the Farm Progress Show near Boone, Iowa and said if America wants to the tradition of passing a farm from one generation to the next investments have to be made not only in the farm but also the young people who will inherit its future.
