Brownfield Ag Weather Today

During the next 5 days, a pair of cold fronts traversing the central and eastern U.S. will help to focus thunderstorm activity. The lead front, currently stretching from the lower Great Lakes region to the central Plains, will remain active on Thursday and Friday while moving into the eastern U.S. At the same time, the trailing front will help to focus late-week Midwestern showers. Five-day rainfall totals should reach 1 to 3 inches in numerous locations across the eastern half of the country, with higher amounts possible in the southern Corn Belt and the middle and southern Atlantic States. Meanwhile, hot, dry weather will persist in the south-central U.S., with heat building northward across the High Plains. Generally hot weather will also prevail in the West, although a resurgence of monsoon-related cloudiness and showers may help to temper the heat by week’s end. Still, wildfires will remain a concern in the Northwest, amid a breezy, mostly dry regime.
