Acts of vandalism against Iowa livestock producers

The recent loss of 3,800 feeder pigs in a northwest Iowa hog barn—a suspected case of livestock vandalism—is just the latest in a string of vandalism cases involving Iowa livestock producers.  Aaron Putze, executive director of the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers does not believe the sabotage is part of an organized effort, but he says many of the incidents have one thing in common—they involve producers who are trying to expand their livestock operations.
