Multinationals not all bad

Seems every time I turn around these days, someone is pontificating about the evils of multinational corporations. Sometimes corporations need to be taken to task, but just like businesses of any size, they are not all the same and most do have some redeeming characteristics.
Sara Lee Corp. announced this week that in fiscal 2009 the company donated the equivalent of 1.8 million meals to Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity.
Brands that are part of Sara Lee corporation generate about $13 billion in annual net sales covering nearly 200 countries. The Sara Lee community consists of 41,000 employees worldwide.
Sara Lee is a multinational corporation, but I’m going to say “thanks” anyway.
