Rubes bug-eyed cows 25-years-old

Rubes cartoon creator Leigh (lee) Rubin is celebrating 25 years of drawing the humorous bug-eyed cows with appearances in the Midwest this coming week.

To mark the anniversary, the cartoonist has compiled in a book 240 of his favorite among the 9,000 panels that he’s drawn so far. Rubin will be in Ottawa, Kansas, March 24, the Plaza Branch Public Library in Kansas City on March 25 and March 26 at the Topeka and Shawnee County Library.

In his presentations, Leigh talks about the process of creating cartoons and turning rejection into positive occurrences.
