Marketing ‘naturally raised’ meat directly to the consumer

North Star Neighbors is a group of farmers in central Nebraska who are producing and direct marketing what they call “naturally raised” beef, pork, lamb and chicken.  Brownfield’s Ken Anderson recently talked with Jim Knopik of Belgrade, Nebraska, one of the farmers involved in North Star Neighbors.  Knopik says they started working together about 12 years ago and recently expanded their market reach through the Nebraska Food Cooperative.
