Property taxpayers suffering from state budget decisions

The state of Iowa, like many other states, is facing major budget challenges.  And, as in many other states, Iowa lawmakers are shifting what many view as state funding obligations—particularly education—to local governments.  That’s not setting well with Craig Lang, the president of Iowa Farm Bureau.  Lang has some harsh criticism for Iowa’s governor and legislature for failing to address what he calls “the state’s broken budgeting process.”
