Biodiesel heating the Northeast
It was announced this week that the National Biodiesel Board, the United Soybean Board and the home heating oil industry were partnering to provide BioHeat, a blend of home heating oil and biodiesel to help states like Massachusetts meet their mandate to find a cleaner burning, sustainable product. Greg Anderson of Newman Grove, Nebraska, a past chairman of the USB credits the soybean checkoff for laying the foundation that is leading to new uses and markets for soybean oil.
