Sudden death syndrome chokes yields

Many Midwest soybean growers are affected adversely by sudden death syndrome this season. David Wright with the North Central Soybean Research Program has been talking to growers about it and offering advice for next season. It’s most prevalent in fields planted early in wet soil. Unusually frequent rain made the problem worse. What’s been affected this season is yielding substantially less than healthy soybeans.
