Corn yields vary across Illinois

Like most of the Midwest, the combines are rolling across Illinois although there is quite a variance in corn yields across the state. Bob Lawless is an agronomist with Syngenta, he says there are a number of “pockets” where it is pretty bad but there are also areas where it is really good especially in the northern part of the state.

Lawless also says the new genetics are really performing well this year, “I’ve never had so much fun doing plot data as I have this year.”
