Time to get your flu vaccination

The Pork Checkoff is reminding pork producers and their workers that as the flu season begins, now is the time to get the seasonal flu vaccination, to help protect human and pig health. Dr. Lisa Becton, dirctor of swine health for the Pork Checkoff says in addition to a flu vaccination there are other steps that producers can take to help reduce the spread of the flu, including having sick leave policies for workers and establishing herd surveillance.
